Terms and Conditions

Thank you for taking the time to read our terms & conditions. 

Where specified: "You" and "Your" refers to you the customer, and "I" and "me" being the designer and business owner Tania Chater of Caradan Designs.

By placing an order with Caradan Designs whether online, telephone, email or by post, you are confirming that you have read, understood and agree to the following terms and conditions.

Ordering

Goods are handcrafted to order and made just for you according to your instructions. Therefore there are a few very important points to remember and agree to prior to placing your order.

  • Lead Times ~ All custom made orders are subject to the lead times shown and may differ during busy times and sometimes exceed the times stated.

Special Note**** Your full cooperation is required during the wait time with your order and request that customers exercise patience and refrain from asking when their order will be sent. I understand you will be anxious and excited to receive everything as quickly as possible but please remember that I am but one jewellery artist.

  • It is the customers responsibility to provide the correct colours and sizes when ordering. If you are unsure on sizes please ask. I also offer colour samples to enable you to choose the right shades.

  • Be decisive when ordering. Do not make changes to the individual pieces that will affect work time and price after you have submitted the order.

  • Prices are exclusive of postage and packaging

  • Upon your written instruction I shall happily cancel and refund your order within 7 (seven) days of the order being placed.

Payment

  • Credit and Debit cards are accepted and processed through paypal. Personal cheque and bankers drafts are also accepted if you prefer not to have your order processed online.

  • Paypal will debit your card immediately when you place your order.

Returns

  • Your accessories (except earrings and rush orders) may be returned for a full product refund if they have been made in the standard colours and finishes shown below.

Products described as in stock are available for a full product refund
  • If you wish to return goods in the above colours and finish you must inform me within 3 days of receipt stating your reasons for the return. Goods that have been custom made to your own colour and finish preferences are non returnable and non refundable. Provided the product(s) have been returned within 7 days, in their original unworn condition, retain all the original gift packaging and packaged securely you will receive a refund within 28 days. Return shipping/postage costs must be borne by you the customer and are not refunded.

  • Refunds cannot be given if item(s) are returned after the wedding or special occasion date.

  • To comply with Health and Safety regulations I am unable to accept the return of earrings unless faulty.

  • Refunds cannot be given for goods ordered in the wrong size or colour.

Bespoke Goods (A design created and made to your own unique style)

  • Bespoke designs are non returnable and non refundable.

Faulty Goods

  • I will replace or repair faulty goods. You must notify me of any fault or damage within 48 hours of receipt and the goods may be returned. I will refund any postage fees that you incur to return the item to me.

Rush Orders

  • If you have asked me to make and send your bridal accessories quickly, your request will be considered a rush order. Rush orders are non returnable and non refundable. This is because I do not charge a fee for prioritising your request and I will have to stop work for other clients to ensure your order is completed on time.

Special Note****  I am not a trying on service. Most designs are handcrafted to order and a lot of time and effort goes into their design and creation. Therefore I respectfully request that you do not ask me to make several items to just try on with the intention of returning part or all of the order. If this situation occurs I reserve the right to decline a return if I suspect that a customer is taking advantage of and abusing the returns policy.

Delivery

The organisation used for all deliveries is Royal Mail and a signature will be required upon delivery.

  • I am not responsible for any import taxes/charges that may apply to orders bound for overseas delivery.
  • I do not take responsibility for late arrival or loss of your package. However I will  investigate on your behalf if your package is late.
  • In the event of a failed delivery attempt the Post Office will inform you that your package is awaiting collection at your local depot by leaving a while you were out card. If the package is not collected within 7 days they will return it to me. It is therefore your responsibility to pay for the redelivery of the order if this situation occurs. If you fail to pay for the goods to be resent then I shall assume the products have been abandoned.

Product Quality

  • All of the products available are finished to a high standard but as they are handcrafted there may be very slight variations to the original image.
  • The photography process may make the products appear larger than in real life. Approximate sizes are displayed on the product page. If in doubt please ask before ordering.
  • Freshwater pearls are a natural product and colours/product quality may vary from one batch to another.

Privacy

  • Your privacy is taken very seriously and I comply strictly to the Data Protection Acts of 1984 and 1998. Under no circumstances will your personal information be made available to any third party. The information you provide will be used solely for the purpose of processing your order or enquiry and to provide the best possible service.

  • We adhere to PayPal's privacy policy. The use of the PayPal banking system ensures that the buyer's financial details are not known to me and we will not have access to your credit or debit card details when orders are placed online via the website.

  • Credit/Debit card details provided by telephone are not held on any computer and are destroyed once the order has been completed and despatched.

Disclaimer

  • Goods sold on this website are not intended to be used as toys. Many of the materials used in the making of the products contain very small parts. Therefore for health and safety reasons, all children must be supervised and not left alone with any products. Caradan Designs will not be held responsible for any injury caused.
  • Caradan Designs does not take responsibility for any tarnishing that may occur. The tarnishing of metal parts is a naturally occurring process with the metal reacting to gases in the air
  • Caradan Designs cannot be held responsible for any allergic reaction that our products may cause. If in doubt please ask prior to ordering.

Force majeure

  • I shall not be liable for any delay or failure to perform any of our obligations if the delay or failure results from events and circumstances outside of my reasonable control, including but not limited to acts of God(s), strikes, lock outs, accidents, war, terrorism, fire, breakdown of plant and machinery or shortage or unavailability of raw materials from a natural source of supply, and I shall be entitled to a reasonable extension of our obligations.
